Agua
and Location
|
|
Apartment
Agua is situated just off the N340 coast road between Calahonda
and Castell de Ferro. The apartment has its own private swimming
pool with views directly to the Mediterranean. There is a small
private cove just a two minute walk from the apartment.
|
|
|
|
The
interior of the apartment has recently been renovated and modernised to
a high standard and offers modern accommodation with bold Mediterranean
colour schemes. |
|
The
private swimming pool, 8 mtrs x 4 mtrs with tiled steps at one
end, is open all year round and the pool terrace has a stone built
BBQ, sun loungers, chairs and table for all year round al
fresco dining. The private cove is ideal for snorkling.

|
Apartment
Agua offers an ideal base for exploring the area and with its private
swimming pool and cove offers something for everyone - all year round.
|
| The
beachside towns of Calahonda and Castell de Ferro are
a few minutes drive in either direction from the apartment. A car
is essential. The larger unspoilt cove of Rojana is just a few minutes
from the apartment and has a larger beach. |
|
|
|
The
town of Motril is 15 minutes away by car and there are many beaches
and coves to explore en-route. Motril has plenty of shops,
restaurants, markets and large supermarkets for all shopping needs. |
| The
Sierra Nevada, Spain's highest mountain range, is a magnificent
backdrop to this partly undiscovered area of Spain. The area enjoys
a microclimate, subtropical in character, a warm and gentle 18 degrees
in winter and an average of 25 degrees in summer. |
|
|

|
The
beaches are unspoilt, there are golf courses in Granada (18
holes) and Los Moriscos golf
course (18 holes) just 6km from Motril, by the sea with a restaurant
and bar. There is also the Marina at the Port of Motril. In the winter
months you can ski in the Sierras in the morning and sunbathe at the
apartment in the afternoon. |
|
This
is the old Andalucian part of Spain, complete with fiestas, whitewashed
villages, Moorish castles and some of the best and least expensive
food and wine to be found. The restaurants and tapas bars are very
good and the fish is excellent. There is history to be found everywhere,
from the Alhambra Palace in Granada (just 50 minutes by car)
to the Alpujarras region. The coastal towns of Almeria, Almunecar,
Salobrena and Nerja are also well worth a visit.
