Villa Pepe is part of a specially designated environmental area and endless groves of natural avocado trees line the hillside that slope seaward from its grounds. Chemical fertilizers are not permitted on the plantations surrounding the property. In keeping with this eco-friendly philosophy, an advanced salt treatment system maintains the villa's sparkling pool (11.5 mtrs x 5 mtrs) and jacuzzi without the use of chlorine or typical harsh water treatments.

The views are surely one of Villa Pepe's most spectacular features and the house is designed to take full advantage of them. Truly top-notch vistas begin with countryside that rolls gently down from Villa Pepe out over Motril and on to the Mediterranean. Distant coastal towns, the port of Motril, the Costa Tropical and the surrounding mountain ranges are a glance away from the large pool and numerous terraces. Plenty of outdoor living space enables guests to enjoy the Costa Tropical's outstanding climate, subtropical in character, a warm and gentle 18 degrees in winter and an average of 25 degrees in summer.

A huge handmade round wooden table with chairs is on the veranda just outside the kitchen, and another more intimate table is tucked into a smaller terrace around the corner; a large sunbathing area surrounds the pool and jacuzzi with loungers and patio furniture provided. A shaded barbecue area with music system and summer kitchen round out the numerous outdoor amenities.

Villa Pepe also features outstanding interior accommodation, making it a perfect getaway year-round. A separate, large games room comes equipped with pool table, TV/DVD, separate WC and bar area. The 60 square-meter sitting/dining area is comfortably appointed with large dining table and chairs, 3 sofas, large coffee table, satellite TV, DVD and CD music system and wi-fi. Skiers (Sierra Nevada resort is an hour away) will love coming home to the fireplace with wood burning stove.

With 6 ample, well-appointed bedrooms (2 double and 4 twin-bedded) and 3.5 bathrooms (two ensuite) it easily houses up to 13 people with plenty of space and privacy for all. Be assured that you won't miss your mod cons during your stay. The fully fitted 24 square-meter kitchen has an airconditioning/heating system, microwave with grill, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, American style fridge/freezer, toaster, electric kettle, coffee machine, deep fat fryer and all the crockery and cutlery you need to whip up your own meals. A separate utility area provides a laundry machine, sink and ironing board, and conveniently opens onto an enclosed terrace with washline.

When you can tear yourself away from Villa Pepe, a myriad of sights and activities await you. Motril is a real Spanish town 5 minutes away, and it does not close down after tourist season. Fabulous shops, good restaurants and memorable tapas bars stay open year-round.

Granada, jewel of the province and home to the Alhambra Palace, is less than an hours drive. Charming mountain villages, too numerous to mention, dot the Lecrin Valley and Alpujarras hills on the way to Granada. Those preferring a coastal outing will find many towns to choose from: Nerja, a long favorite of travellers, is half an hour away and the castle-topped seaside towns of Almunecar and Salobrena are within minutes of the villa.
